DESTINATION WEDDINGS

Kauai     Oahu     Molokai     Lanai     Maui     Hawaii

Imagine a place where the weather is consistently 80 degrees with a constant breeze, where the water is 75 to 80 degrees year round, where the sun almost always shines, and when it rains it short lived and easily escapable by car. Imagine islands fertile with rich coffee, ripe pineapples, macadamia nuts, waterfalls, mountains that rise up 10,000 feet, mile after mile of multi-colored, soft, sand beaches (black, white, red, green and gold) and luxury hotels, tropical gardens, fern grottos, quaint little churches, a magical underwater world teeming with sea life and exquisite yachts that will ferry you from island to island. Hawaii…paradise on earth.

Hawaii has long been the #1 wedding destination and greatly responsible for making destination weddings so popular. There are so many locations, services and professionals to choose from who can make your wedding planning a cinch. As a wedding destination it offers not only the typical tropical beach options but a plethora of adventure options as well including scuba and submarine weddings, volcano/crater weddings, horseback riding, helicopter, and sky diving, which brings a whole new meaning to taking the plunge. Traditional Hawaiian weddings with Polynesian flare are also readily available.

Aloha meaning hello, goodbye, and love is an appropriate greeting to any of the 132 islands of Hawaii. The islands cover 1600 square miles of the Pacific Ocean just 6 hours from the West Coast. Couples generally choose from the 6 main islands: Hawaii, Maui, Moloka’i, Oahu, Kauai, Lana’i. Although most people hope to visit all of the main islands during their wedding trip we recommend finding a wedding location on one of the islands and then honeymooning on one or two others because there is so much to see and do on each of the islands.

No matter which island(s) you choose you are sure to find some of the most romantic destination wedding options the world has to offer. We recommend planning your wedding during “low season” in the spring or fall. The prices will be lower, the crowds smaller, yet the weather is still gorgeous. It is easy to see why it is one of the most popular wedding destinations and one of the most written about, so we have decided only to include a few must-know locations.
