Geralyn’s approach to capturing your “real moments” is achieved in a simple, fun, unobtrusive and sensitive manner. This “editorial” style of photographing life as it naturally takes place has been welcomed by so many of Hokuli‘i Images’ clientele. Not only do you walk away with a tangible memory, but also with a fun and comfortable photography experience that is unforgettable.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Geralyn always knew that somehow her life would involve looking through a viewfinder. She studied videography, photography and multimedia in Washington State and graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree in Multimedia from Bellevue Community College.

Since her childhood, Geralyn has always had a flirtatious love affair with photography. “I’ve always loved the camera. Ever since I was a kid, I thought that looking through a viewfinder was the coolest way to look at the world!”

Upon returning to Honolulu, Geralyn established Hokuli‘i Images in February of 1999. Her deep interest in documenting people and life in their real and natural state has helped her to develop a candid and comfortable style of her own.

Geralyn currently resides on O‘ahu with her Black Labrador and continues her passionate love affair with photography. “It is my favorite way of expressing what I see and feel. The camera captures what I see through my heart.”
